Every dollar counts.......
Food doesn't come cheap when you have scores of hungry mouths to feed daily, not just at the Haven but also at our feeding stations and outreach areas. Add to that the cost of ongoing worming and preventative medication, spay and neutering procedures and specialist veterinary care in cases of extreme abuse, malnutrition or a road accident and our bills are higher still. Local supporters regularly hold fundraising get-togethers, collecting food, old newspapers and blankets as well as money for the Haven. And we aim to build on the success of our inaugural dog show to turn that into a major fund-raising event.
